Speak Right Read Right 1 - Short i worksheet
We haven't done one of these free worksheets for a while and it is very overdue. So here is the third in a series of worksheets to accompany Speak Right Read Right kit 1. This one will help your students practice listening for the short i vowel sound in a fun and tactile way. It is also a good review of the ten short i sounds found in Speak Right Read Right Kit One.

Speak Right Read Right - In Action!
Here are some shots of me teaching Speak Right Read Right - Kit 1. The kids only starting this program this semester but so far it has been well-received.
That is a highly focused bunch of kids! Though I think the presence of their homeroom teacher buzzing around with a came might be partly responsible for that.

WhisperPhone + First Questions = Success
Today I did some review of the first few levels of First Questions with this class and also coupled our review session with some WhisperPhone Duets.
These products are excellent as they allow students to really focus on their pronunciation and accent as they practice reading, phonics or conversation. They are also really fun!

The Friday Test
Friday is our test day. This class has finished Spelling Hive 1, 2, and 3. They are also well aware that the tests in Book 4 cover the words in Book 3 so they were reviewing both today before out test. Normally they don't look this diligent for a test.
This here is more typical of test preparation time!
Today's test results:
Ian 110%
Eugene 110%
Leslie 110%
Angela 80%
Annie 80%
Kiki 110%
I think Angela and Annie might have spent a little bit too much time playing Temple Run this week.

Recycling
This is the best use of a recycled Interactile Learning product I've ever seen. These kids finished First Questions last semester and are now working on the First Questions - Senior Edition. They are required to decorate their classrooms in a somewhat environmentally manner. This is awesome. No waste and great for review! Well done kids!
